Feb 19, 2011 Great season opener!

Launched at Park Prarie boat ramp.  Beautiful weather but tons of activity.  Boats were stacked gunnel to gunnel in some spots.

Not much luck on the West side or by the dam, so I headed East.

First three fish of the day came in leeward of Main Point (here) on a Chrome/Blue Rat-L-Trap in about 10' of water.

More luck here on the same bait near Buzzard point.  Hauled in six more as I drifted North.

Got several small bass on that magical rat-l-trap here, so I started throwing a large crankbait to see if Mama was home.  She sure was, landing the biggest fish of the day at 4lbs.

Continued drifting and lost the Rat-L-Trap in some deep structure.  Wish those things were weedless (or cheaper!).
