Note To Powerboaters

Most of the information in this Blog applies equally to both Kayak and Powerboat fisherman.  I occasionally go to places that may be dangerous for larger boats, such as heavily timbered water, so please be careful.

Kayak fishing is quickly growing in popularity as an alternative to traditional powerboat fishing.

Some of the advantages Kayak fisherman cite over PBs include:

  1. Lower Cost - Both up-front and maintenance.
  2. Good Exercise - I've lost sixty pounds since I started Kayak Fishing.  My wife actually tells me I should go fishing more often.
  3. All "Terrain" - A skilled Kayaker has better access to un-pressured skinny and densely timbered waters that are difficult for PBs to reach.
  4. Stealth - Some Kayakers believe that the PBs are more likely to spook fish, especially in highly-pressured water.
